REDEFINE REFUGEES

In 2012 alone, 31.7 million people were displaced from their homes due to the effects of rising sea levels, fires, droughts, hurricanes, etc.

It is expected by the year 2050 that one in nine people will be without permanent homes due to climate related incidents.

Currently, climate refugees do not have any legal protection as they are not considered refugees by the United Nations.

To help combat this problem we are petitioning the United States of America to create a visa specifically for people who are impacted by climate-related problems.

As areas become uninhabitable this visa program would help climate refugees access the resources they need for survival.
